Alex Kronbichler – Certified Ski Instructor at Kronplatz

20 years of experience, children’s specialist and freestyle expert at Skischule Bruneck

Alex Kronbichler is a state-certified ski instructor and one of the founders of Skischule Bruneck at Kronplatz. With around 20 years of experience as a ski instructor, he combines extensive professional knowledge with a particular passion for children, freestyle and modern ski instruction.

Alex comes from a family of ski instructors. He grew up closely connected to skiing and the mountains, making skiing, the slopes and ski instruction an important part of his life from an early age.

Today, he is one of the most experienced instructors at Skischule Bruneck, teaching children, teenagers and adults at Kronplatz – Plan de Corones.

Ski instructor specialising in children

One of Alex’s particular strengths is working with children. Thanks to his specialisation in children’s ski instruction, he knows how important patience, motivation and age-appropriate teaching methods are.

For children, learning to ski is not just about improving their technique as quickly as possible. Feeling safe, building confidence and, above all, having fun on the snow are essential parts of the learning process.

Alex therefore places particular emphasis on:

• individual attention
• safe and easy-to-understand ski instruction
• fun and age-appropriate exercises
• motivation and enjoyment of skiing
• individual development
• safety on the slopes

His many years of experience allow him to quickly recognise different learning styles and adapt his lessons accordingly.

Freestyle specialist

In addition to his specialisation in children’s ski instruction, freestyle is one of Alex Kronbichler’s great passions.

For many years, he was President of Freestyle Club Vitamin-F, gaining extensive experience in freestyle skiing and in supporting and developing young skiers.

His passion for modern skiing and freestyle continues to be an important part of his work as a ski instructor.

For Alex, safety always comes first. Before learning new movements or freestyle elements, it is essential to have solid technique, balance and control on the skis.

20 years of experience as a ski instructor

With around 20 years of experience as a ski instructor, Alex knows Kronplatz and the different needs of skiers very well.

His experience ranges from teaching complete beginners to helping advanced skiers improve their technique.

For Alex, a good ski lesson is not simply about explaining a technique. A good instructor needs to observe, identify mistakes, motivate and adapt the lesson to each skier’s individual abilities and goals.

Ski instruction in three languages

Alex Kronbichler teaches in:

• German
• Italian
• English

This allows him to provide personal and clear instruction to German-speaking, Italian-speaking and international guests on Kronplatz.

His favourite piste: Silvester No. 1

If Alex had to choose just one piste at Kronplatz, his choice would be Silvester No. 1.

The Silvester is one of the best-known pistes at Kronplatz and, in Alex’s view, offers ideal conditions for enjoying skiing. For an experienced skier, it is a varied and challenging descent where technique, rhythm and speed can come together.

Silvester No. 1 is therefore Alex Kronbichler’s favourite piste at Kronplatz.

Long-standing President of Freestyle Club Vitamin-F

Alex was President of Freestyle Club Vitamin-F for many years.

His work with the club shaped him not only from a sporting perspective but also gave him valuable experience in supporting and developing young skiers.

Freestyle remains an important part of his passion for skiing to this day.

Alex Kronbichler is one of the founders of Skischule Bruneck.

Together with the other founding members, he helped establish the ski school with the aim of offering high-quality ski lessons and personal support at Kronplatz.

The philosophy of Skischule Bruneck is:

“Quality not Mass.”

Small groups, individual attention and qualified ski instructors form the foundation of the experience that Skischule Bruneck aims to provide its guests.

Skiing – a passion that started in childhood

Alex’s connection with skiing began when he was a child. Growing up in a family of ski instructors, he was surrounded by skiing and ski instruction from an early age.

After around 20 years of experience as a ski instructor, Alex now passes his knowledge and passion on to the next generation of skiers at Kronplatz.
